HOLLY

Holly is a resident of the IHWT.Holly is an ex-racehorse, unfortunately due to an injury his career came to an early end. He is 20 years of age and you would never know it. He is full of life and loves to play. Due to his club foot he sometimes can’t always keep up with the others but he certainly tries and thoroughly enjoys himself. He must be regularly monitored as his club foot can sometimes cause problems as it starts to crumble as the years pass by. We must keep a close watch for stone bruises and these must be treated immediately but he is a very good patient and secretly enjoys all the attention and treats he receives.

Holly is a very affectionate horse indeed and he has a timid kind personality, he is a true gent and of course strikingly handsome. He bonds with all equines and his good nature ensures he is always a pleasure to be around for people of all ages.

The centre is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm – 4pm. You are more than welcome to visit and spend time with Holly. He thrives on attention and affection and we would love to show him that although young rescues are continually coming and he is in his “golden oldie” years he is still as special to us as the day he arrived.
